BPL21: Day 1 recap
The Melbourne Pulse and Geelong Jets sit on top of the Bowls Premier League 21 ladder after an action-packed opening day at Moama Bowling Club.
The Melbourne Pulse welcomed Ellen Fife back to their lineup, which also consists of Gary Kelly and Barrie Lester, and set the standard for the day, winning four out of a possible five rounds.
The Geelong Jets team of Aaron Wilson, Jamie-Lee Worsnop and Paul Foster MBE sit second on the same number of wins after a scintillating performance throughout the day.
There is a log jam in the middle of the ladder, with the Adelaide Pioneers, Tweed Ospreys, Sydney Saints, Gold Coast Hawks and Moreton Bay Pirates all with three wins.
The Melbourne eXtreme, Tasmania Tridents and Sydney Lions remain in the hunt with two wins, while the hometown Moama Steamers clinched a win in the final round of the day to finish with one win.
It was a luckless day for the Perth Suns who were unable to record a victory.

BPL21 runs from February 17-21, 2025, at the Moama Bowling Club with live streaming on Bowls Australia’s YouTube channel, as well as live broadcasts from Tuesday to Friday from 4pm until 10pm AEDT on Fox, Kayo and Sky Sports NZ.
